Luxify Offers New and Used Luxury Items

This Hong Kong startup is a marketplace for new and used luxury goods, with the accent on luxury. The company went live last year with the standard luxury items like bags, jewelry and wine but has now branched out into sports cars, yachts and planes.
Unlike pawnshops and auction houses, Luxify allows the seller to remain anonymous, an important factor for the celebrity or mogul who may be temporarily strapped for cash. The siteโs โMake an Offerโ feature gives buyers and sellers the chance to negotiate the final price in private.
Over the last year, Luxify has grown to the point that it serves 250 professional dealers and 1,000 private sellers with more than $350 million in products now for sale. Not surprisingly, fine watches are one of the most popular items along with designer bags and sports cars.
Currently up for sale on Luxify are watches by Omega, Rolex, Chanel, Cartier, Tiffany, Bulgari, Vacheron Constantine and more. One of the most expensive models is this โgently usedโ Patek Philippe white gold backwind menโs watch whose owner is hoping for $68,000 HKD (about $8,774 USD) but that price is โnegotiable.โ
So if youโve just gotten the bad news that youโll have to hand over a huge chunk of change to the government by April 15, you may still have time to move that vintage watch, spare yacht or Hermes purse on Luxify. On the other hand, if youโre getting a nice big refund this year youโll want to check out the impressive array of expensive timepieces now available.
