The case, in all high polished stainless steel, is beautiful. Right up front, I want to say the finishing on the entire watch is excellent. The case, bracelet and case back, are all perfectly brushed and polished. It really does have a high level of finishing, and that is probably due to the fact that the owner of Kentex used to work for Seiko. This is ironic, because the sample initially reminded more of a high end Seiko in terms of finishing, like a Seiko Marinemaster.
The 44mm case reminds of a Seiko in terms of finishing, but more like a Deep Blue in terms of style. I think it might be the crown and bezel that reminds me of a few DB models. The length of the case is short, at 50mm, which makes it much more wearable for wrists of all sizes. The bezel insert is a dark green ceramic, dark enough, that may look black. The bezel ratchets smooth and clicks firmly in place. The crown has great machining and knurling, allowing for easy manipulation.
One thing to note, is the lug screws are purely decorative. The bracelet attaches to the case using standard spring pins.
The MOP dial was something I was not sure if I was going to like, especially with the combination of a dark green bezel. For the most part, I am not a mother of pearl fan on watch dials. This version, being black MOP, is a lot subtler than I was expecting. You have to be in the right light for the dial colors to pop, which is why I took various dial shots and wrist shots trying to show off the blues and purples that come through the MOP.
