I’m a huge Nascar race fan, and occasionally look around the web for racing inspired timepieces. I recently ran across an offering from Fromateel Watches. While looking at all models the company offers, I noticed the Globetrotter Series, which appeared to offer classic timeless designs. Naturally, I wanted to check out a model from the Globetrotter series, and Fromanteel kindly supplied the Chrono Cream Marine Blue, from the collection, for me to check out.

First, let’s take a quick look at some background on Fromanteel Watches. According to the Fromanteel website, the started with Ahasuerus Fromanteel, who was a 17th century clockmaker. The company indicates that in 1660 AD, the first series of revolutionary clocks using a pendulum mechanism was created. The clocks created were considered more accurate than any other clocks during that period, because they allowed for a measurement down to the second rather than just minutes. The result led to a multi-national clock-making organization. The company’s roots inspired the modern day Fromanteel brand, which currently offers five (5) different watch seriesโ€™, one being the Globetrotter line.

The basic specifications for the Globetrotter model supplied are:

Case: Stainless Steel

Case Diameter: 42 mm

The Globetrotter Chrono Cream โ€“ Marine Blue packaging is truly outstanding. The outer burlap type sack is very unique and comes with a Fromanteel wax seal as a cool detail. Inside the burlap sack, one will find a black leatherette presentation box wrapped in a Fromanteel bandana. Overall, the presentation is fantastic and totally amps up the expectations of what might be inside it.

Inside the presentation packaging is a stunning watch! The case of the watch measures 42mm and approximately 44mm including the crown. The lug-to-lug measurement is approximately 50mm with a 20mm lug width. The case is a slim 10mm in thickness, providing an ultra low profile. The lugs have a slight curvature; combined with all of the other specifications, including a total weight of approximately 72 grams, the model will feel extremely lightweight and comfortable on the wrist.
