The case back is a screw down, and sports the engraved Lum-Tec logo. The G5 has a water resistance of 200m.
The lume of the G5 is what you would expect from Lum-Tec, outstanding. If you don’t know, Lum-Tec’s MDV Technology is what is considered one of the best, if not the best, lume’s in the industry. When charged, the lume of the G5 GLOWS. There’s really no other way to put it. The only recommendation that I would have would have been to carry the lume to the upper/lower portion of the 12 and 6 of the chapter ring. While not a huge deal, it would have been nice to have the full numerals illuminated.
The G5 comes equipped with very nice quality genuine leather straps that measure 24 mm in with, and have a slight taper to 22mm. The straps have a thickness of 4mm, so you know your getting a good strap that will hold up over time. Included in the watch box is an extra set of spring bars for fitting with other straps.

Sorry, that is one “unatractive” (I’m being kind) wristwatch.
Eh, it’s an unconventional design, sure. Unattractive, though? I don’t think so… It’s got a certain appeal precisely because it’s unusual and visually “loud”. It’s pretty much made to stand out, and in that sense, I’d say it’s pretty good-looking.
Also. Kinda wondering who, in the end, won. The widget on the giveaway page (at the time of this writing) isn’t showing any entries or winners.
It is interesting to see it in person! Definitelly, the eyecatcher in public!
