Frédérique Constant Contributes Horological Smartwatch to Only Watch Auction

As the Only Watch auction gets closer, the makers of luxury watches have been vying to create the most unusual and elegant timepieces for contribution to the charity. Most have designed traditional watches with extravagant details but Frédérique Constant has outdone them with a one-of-a-kind smartwatch.

The Frédérique Constant Horological Smartwatch was introduced in February following three years of research and development by the luxury brand. This is no ordinary tech-y looking smartwatch but a combination of classic elegance and precision features that one would expect from Frédérique Constant.

The Horological Smartwatch is powered by the MotionX-365 end-to-end solution developed by Silicon Valley firm Fullpower Technologies, Inc. The piece may look like your usual luxury watch but also has the ability to record activity and sleep patterns, which will be synchronized with the app on the user’s smartphone.

The Horological Smartwatch model that was created by Frédérique Constant especially for the Only Watch auction sports a dark green dial that displays hours and minutes with a smart counter at 6 o’clock tucked into an 18-karat rose gold case. Engraved on the case back is the inscription “Only Watch 2015.” The bidder who gets to take this luxury smartwatch home will also get the bonus of an Apple iPhone 6 included in the sophisticated gift box.

The Frédérique Constant Horological Smartwatch joins models by such illustrious names as Patek Philippe, Louis Vuitton, Hublot, Richard Mille, Blancpain, Chanel, Vacheron Constantin, Vulcain, Zenith, Breguet, Chopard, Hermes, Harry Winston, Van Cleef & Arpels and more.

All of these timepieces are unique, memorable and sure to bring in some major cash for a worthy cause. The Only Watch auction will take place in Geneva on November 7 with proceeds going to research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
