Adrian Brody is a Surprising Bulgari Spokesperson
Most luxury watch labels have glamorous celebrities like athletes and supermodels as their brand ambassadors, which is why quirky actor Adrian Brody might seems like an odd choice to represent a legendary name like Bulgari.
While the Oscar-winning actor agrees that he wasn’t the most glamorous choice for the luxury brand, Brody feels honored to have been chosen to appear in ads for Bulgari. “I come from very humble beginnings and this is part of a very large luxury group,” he stated. “I’m an actor. I’m conscious of what I do in my work, to be a unique voice in that… to strive to be unique and have a premium luxury brand find that uniqueness valuable and identifiable and something they relate to is a huge compliment.”
One reason Brody chose to partner with Bulgari was to increase his ability to help his favorite charities, especially those that work with children. He said that the brand “enhanced my ability to use fame as a tool to be helpful to others, which is a wonderful thing to do… Children are very meaningful to me but it’s hard to partner with so many organizations. Bulgari’s involvement helped me to have an easier conduit with Save The Children.”
Brody admits to a love for both fine watches and fast cars so it’s fitting that he’s the face of Bulgari’s ultra-slim dress watch the Octo Finissimo. He finds the “complexity and masculinity in the Octo’s rugged geometric patterns” especially appealing. “It carries a degree of masculinity but also has that edge that looks modern.”
The Octo Finissimo isn’t too masculine for Brody’s model girlfriend Lara Lieto, who loves to borrow it. Brody said he doesn’t mind—“as long as she’s just borrowing it.” He added,” I like the Finissimo on a girl, I think it really looks beautiful.”
