Withings Activite Gets in the Swim
Just in time for summer fun, the Withings Activite smartwatch has added a new feature just for swimmers. A software update allows the watch to detect when the wearer goes swimming and automatically tracks sessions in the water. Users can see how long they swam and how many calories burned by checking their smartwatches after finishing their swim.
This new functionality that has been added to the Withings Health Mate app sends information on the userโs water-related activities to the Withings Activite or Activite Pop smartwatch. Withings claims that these are the โfirst activity trackers on the market to offer automatic swim detection.โ It is necessary for users to dive into the water to activate the app.
