The case back is held down by 4 screws, and jets out at the lugs to provide the strap support and integrity in that area. The construction also allows the case to conform to the wrist very well. The case back is highly etched at the center containing various specifications and branding information. Beneath the case back is a Swiss Ronda movement. While I’m uncertain to the exact caliber, my guess is it may be the 515, or something very similar. The movement has been extremely accurate as anticipated since arrival.
The lume appears to be green Superluminova. I’m not certain if the lume is C1 or some other compound but the initial charge is strong fading rather quickly within just a few moments. The afterglow also does not seem to last very long either but again this model is a modern fashion watch not a true dive watch so I’m not certain lume is all that important only a nice fashion feature.
The model is fitted with an integrated silicon rubber strap, equipped with two floating keepers.ย The measurements are 32mm at the lugs and 9mm thick while tapering to around 22mm, and just less than 4mm thick at the buckle. The strap is extremely long and will fit well over an 8-inch wrist.ย On my 7 3/4 inch wrist, there are still 5 holes for upward sizing, and 3 holes for downward sizing.ย Finishing off the strap is a heavy-duty signed tang buckle matching the finishes found on the watch case.ย Obviously, this model is designed for larger wrists as I’m not certain someone below a 7-inch wrist will be able to use the strap.ย As with all silicon rubber straps, be prepared for the lint, as that always seems to be the biggest issue. I would love to see a natural type rubber with this model, if for nothing else, to keep the lint and dust away. Of course a natural rubber strap would increase the cost.ย Due to the strap integration and lug-less design the watch may appear somewhat smaller on the wrist than the advertised size.
This particular model is my first experience with the Jorg Gray brand, and I am rather impressed overall. The model provides some quality specifications with a screw down crown, sapphire crystal, applied lume markers and a dependable Swiss Ronda quartz movement.ย If you are looking for a fashionable, modern, dive-style watch this model may be a good fit for your collection.ย The model would also be a solid grab and go dependable quartz watch. I would enjoy seeing Jorg Gray research the possibility of using a Miyota 9015 automatic movement in this model to reach those solely into automatics.ย I would like to thank Jorg Gray for providing this model for review. I would also like to thank everyone for reading. Please take a moment to view the short video presentation on this model and follow the WatchReport.com YouTube channel. I look forward to your comments as always.

I was able to confirm the following finally.. The movement is a RONDA 515. Also, the screws on the strap are functional. In order to change the battery you actually have to remove the strap screws and the back plate screws.
Thanks for the review on JG sports watch! How does this watch , with Ronda movement, compare with Casio
chronograph /sports watches in qulaity/reliability?
