The model is fitted with a 90 click, unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel is not that easy to grasp and rotate, however, when rotating, the clicks are quite precise. The bezel has the slightest amount of play, but nothing unexpected.ย For those that like a touch of color, the 15-minute countdown area on the bezel is painted red, which in my opinion, is just another fashionable aspect of the model and personally I’d prefer black on the entire bezel. There is a lume pip fitted inside the triangle at the top of the bezel.
Next, a surprising quality aspect of the JG8700-11 is the crystal. The model is fitted with a large Sapphire crystal measuring over 36mm in diameter. Beneath the sapphire crystal is what appears to be a multi-layer, black and gray, dial with what seems to be a two piece chapter ring – noting the minutes painted in white. The chapter ring also has applied round lume markers at the primary minute marker positions.ย Just inside the chapter ring is a gray ring, which has the hour numerals painted in black.
Positioned inside cut out areas at the outer edge of the chapter ring is the JG logo, the 3, 6 and 9, all lumed. I like the fashionable aspect of using the JG logo at the 12 rather than the numeral. The dial has the water resistance information pained on the dial below center and the Jorg Gray branding appears applied to the dial in high polish above center. A black date window is positioned at the 3, which is of adequate size and quite legible. The handset is also high polished to match the branding on the dial, which combined with the branding, gives the dial a touch of flair. The hour and minute hands are lumed and I really like the use of an arrow hour hand, giving the watch handset a more than typical appearance. The second-hand outer half is painted in red corresponding well with the countdown area on the bezel.ย Overall the dial has a nice layout and is well lumed, but is what I consider slightly busy, but again exactly what I expect for a fashion watch.

I was able to confirm the following finally.. The movement is a RONDA 515. Also, the screws on the strap are functional. In order to change the battery you actually have to remove the strap screws and the back plate screws.
Thanks for the review on JG sports watch! How does this watch , with Ronda movement, compare with Casio
chronograph /sports watches in qulaity/reliability?
