Hublot “Big Bang Grand Tour” Lights Up Harrods

Pop-up boutiques and touring exhibits are all the rage this summer with Hublot being one of the many brands taking some of their most prized products out on the road. After a first stop in Munich in April, Hublot’s “Big Bang Grand Tour” is taking over London’s swankiest department store Harrods with a traffic-stopping display of style and watchmaking expertise.

This exclusive exhibition highlights ten years of Hublot’s “Big Bang” watches as well as the brand’s collaboration with the legendary Ferrari line of sports cars, the Art of Fusion and partnerships with numerous athletic teams. Stunning neon lights in the windows of the London store draw visitors inside where they can be dazzled by interactive showcases as well as three iconic Hublot models on display.

The Hublot watches being showcased include two pieces from the “anniversary collection”—the Big Bang Tourbillon 5-day Power Reserve Indicator Full Magic Gold and the Big Bang “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie Full Baguettes Black Diamonds. Also on view is the All Black 8-days Power Reserve from the Classic Fusion Collection.

Through the creative displays of the “Big Bang Grand Tour,” visitors can get a crash course in the making of a Hublot timepiece including how the UNICO movement was developed in-house. Of course, they will have the chance to learn more about Hublot’s stellar cast of brand ambassadors like champion athletes Kobe Bryant, Usain Bolt and Dwyane Wade plus supermodel Bar Refaeli.

At a press conference on June 2, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe said, “The exhibition at Harrods this year is particularly exciting as it represents the core DNA of Hublot giving light to the ‘Art of Fusion’ brand philosophy. We are honoured to be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the iconic ‘Big Bang” at such an admired landmark.”

The Hublot pop-up boutique will be appearing at Harrods in London from May 31 to June 28 before heading for New York, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
