Elvis Presley would have turned 80 last month and Hamilton is commemorating the occasion with an updated version of the watch worn by the king of rock โ€˜n roll back in the 60s. The distinctive shield-shaped Hamilton Ventura can be spotted in photos of Presley in his Army uniform and the 1961 film โ€œBlue Hawaii.โ€

The Ventura has a rich history since it was introduced as the first electric watch back in 1957 and the 2015 update features major upgrades like Hamiltonโ€™s automatic H-10 movement. A sloped crystal and a curved dial now accent the familiar triangular shape while the original angular case has been streamlined with both smoothly polished and brushed surfaces.

The Hamilton Ventura Elvis 80 is available in an assortment of color and material combinations with an automatic or quartz movement. The automatic style is encased in a black PVD case with rubber or leather strap. The three quartz versions have cases of stainless steel with an orange second hand and engraved crown.

Although the legendary singer would probably have preferred a flashier solid gold model with diamonds in his Vegas days, this watch is more suited to the younger Elvis that the world fell in love with.
