On the wrist, the R1 is comfortable once you can get the dual deployant clasp closed. Both versions come with a calf leather strap which is very smooth and supple, and use the deployant clasp system. Unfortunately on my two examples, the buckle can be somewhat of a pain to close and snap into place, which I show in the video review. Once finally on the wrist securely, it does wrap around nicely.
Andrea Ragazzo seems to have a good vision, of not only creating watches, but also a lifestyle and a brand. I believe he is on the right track. The minimalist design will appeal to many, and though some might look at the specs and price and scoff at it, he is trying to use quality materials and components, sourced from other countries, instead of everything of Chinese Origin. Because of that is where the $399 price tag comes in. I have worn the rosetone version for about 4 days now. It is lightweight, comfortable, and does have that modern yet classic design that would look great with a suit, or for when you don’t want a heavy chunky watch. I wish Andrea much success and look forward to his future models.
