Philip Stein appeared on the market in 2004 with Oprah Winfrey championing this brand as the next great watch collection in the world. So prolific was her call that it wasnโ€™t long before Philip Stein was being called โ€˜the Oprah watchโ€™.

Philip Stein isnโ€™t a conventional watch by any means. Apart from regular timekeeping functions, their watches also come equipped with two chips in the case back, which resonate at the earthโ€™s natural frequency enabling the wearer to combat the man-made electromagnetic frequencies that we are enveloped in from electronic devices. This innovation was made possible through the groundbreaking scientific leaps by world renowned physicist and inventor Nicolai Tesla. Philip Stein honored Tesla by calling the technology in the watches โ€˜Teslar Technologyโ€™.Philip Stein Prestige Collection 17-FRGW

Philip Stein has come a long way from their initial designs with the Prestige collection and the brand now offers Swiss made movements. The case of this watch, reference # 17-FRGW, featured here is 45mm in diameter and is made from stainless steel, which has been finely brushed. The bezel is brushed using circular graining, while the main case is vertically brushed. The main crown is rose gold ion plated stainless steel, which is ridged to for easy time and date modifications.

The ivory colored dial carries a guilloche design which adds texture to this watch. The elements on this dial are rose gold toned, making for an exquisite contrast. The main dial features Arabic numerals, indexes, and luminous sword shaped hands for nighttime readability all in rose gold tone. At the 6 position there is a prominent small seconds subdial with a double date window.Philip Stein Prestige Collection 17-FRGW

This handsome Philip Stein timepiece uses a sapphire crystal, glare proofed on both sides. Sapphire is chosen due to its ability to resist scratching. The water resistance on this model is 5 ATM (50 meters). One of the nicer features on Philip Stein watches are the interchangeable straps that can be bought from any retailer. Philip Stein offers a quick change strap system that doesnโ€™t require any professional assistance to complete.
