Casio G Shock Eminem Limited Edition
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Casio G Shock line presents a limited edition series dedicated to Hip Hop icon – Eminem. G Shock chose Eminem because the brand felt that his meteoric rise to fame and success has closely mirrored theirs.
G Shock watches are the realization of Mr. Ibe’s dream of creating a watch that doesn’t break. After many years of testing the first G Shock watches were being sold in Japan by 1983. All G Shock watches carry 7 basic elements which ensure reliability and durability. These are: electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, shock resistance, water resistance, and overall sturdiness.
The watch was set to go on the shelves on December 7th 2013. With a retail price of only USD $180, the Eminem Limited Edition is priced for quick sales. The only catch about this watch is that it can only be purchased in brick and mortar stores and not online.
The G Shock Eminem Limited Edition is a newly redesigned XL-6900, which is fitted with certain graphics inspired by the life of this musical legend. This watch is available in matte black on a black rubber strap. This model carries an LED Super Illuminator back light for nighttime readability. The case size of the Eminem Limited Edition is close to 10% larger than the older version of the 6900 series.
The black rubber strap features the skyline of the city of Detroit, which as many of us know is the hometown of ‘Slim Shady’. The case back also features an engraved autograph of Shady – Eminem’s alter ego.
This trendy timepiece is water resistant to 200 meters (20 bars) making it perfect for daily wear. Among the many features, this watch carries 48 time zones and 5 alarms. As with all G Shock watches, the Eminem Limited Edition comes with a 10 year battery life.
