Hublot to Introduce New Big Bang Ferrari Watches at Baselworld
The romance of fine watches and expensive sports cars shows no signs of ending in the near future, with the mating of Swiss watchmaker Hublot and the Italian sports car name Ferrari being one of the happiest duos going right now.
2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the Big Bang watch and Hublot will be celebrating with two racy new models as part of the brand’s collaboration with the legendary automaker Ferrari. In 2012, Hublot launched the Big Bang Titanium and the Big Bang Magic Gold followed by three more models each in 2013 and 2014.
Now joining this illustrious lineup will be the Big Bang Ferrari Black Ceramic sporting details in bright Ferrari red and the Big Bang Ferrari Grey Ceramic, which was inspired by the livery of the North American Racing Team.
Both watches have a diameter of 45mm and a bezel made of black or grey ceramic with 6 H-shaped titanium screws. The sapphire crystal has interior/exterior anti-reflective coating while the bezel lugs and lateral inserts are made from black composite resin. The circular crown is made from titanium with overmolded black rubber and the caseback is made from polished micro-blasted black or grey ceramic.
An HUB 1241 Unico movement developed and manufactured in-house by Hublot powers each model. The grey ceramic version has a strap made from black rubber and Schedoni leather in grey with black stripes and grey stitching. The strap of the black ceramic model combines black rubber with red Schedoni leather featuring blue and white stripes and red stitching. Each watch is water resistant to 10 ATM and has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
