Hublot Opens Largest Pop-Up Ever in Singapore
Hublot has been around since 1980 and its retail presence has grown to include 50 boutiques worldwide but none as spectacular as the one opening in Singapore this month. In celebration of the Big Bang watchโs 10th anniversary, Hublot is opening its biggest pop-up store ever at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza in Singapore.
In an email interview, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe explained why the brand has chosen to do a pop-up store in Singapore. โWith the help of our long-time partner and luxury watch retailer The Hour Glass, Hublotโs presence has stayed strong in Singapore and regionally for the last 30-over years.
โThis pop-up store is an initiative fronted by The Hour Glass and we cannot be more supportive of this event. It is the largest Hublot pop-up store globally and … visitors can expect to see the world of Hublot on a panoramic scale โ from haute horology to craftsmanship and lifestyle gears that Hublot has to offer.โ
Visitors to the store will be able to view a pair of limited edition Big Bang watches created especially for the Singapore market. โThe first is the Red Dot Bang, a timepiece created in two cases โ Hublonium and Yellow Bang,โ Guadalupe explained. โIt is a nod to not only the iconic Big Bang that made Hublot the success story it is today, it also showcases Hublotโs strength in material engineering.โ
The Hublonium will be made in a limited run of 50 pieces in honor of Singaporeโs 50th birthday while there will be just 10 pieces of the yellow gold model. Placing the red โ10โ index on the dial also holds a dual meaning โ it is an homage to Singaporeโs national colour and the number (is) to celebrate Big Bangโs 10-year anniversary,โ Guadalupe stated.
The other exclusive timepiece is the one-of-a-kind Hublot Manufacture MP-05 La Ferrari Golden Jubilee, which features a case of yellow gold set with 440 baguette-cut diamonds whose total weight is about 13 carats.
The Hublot pop-up in Singapore will run from August 16 to 26.
