Another interesting feature of the YesMan models is a patent-pending ratcheting type seat-belt buckle system. The buckle design is quite unique and provides a wide range of sizing options due to the notches on the underside of the strap. The blackleather strap is 24mm wide and approximately 2.5mm thick. The leather is fairly soft and supple. The strap feeds into the buckle and the notches on the underside lock the strap into place. A lever on the left side of the buckle releases the strap from the buckle. The design will most certainly provide greater life to the leather, as there isn’t quite as much flexing and bending when putting the watch on and taking it off. The signed buckle is quite large measuring approximately 13mm in height. While the buckle design is extremely unique, I have found it to be somewhat uncomfortable on the wrist as it is rather bulky. Besides comfort, the only other concern rests with the durability of the notches on the underside of the strap. Only time will demonstrate overall durability of the strap and buckle design.

The case back is screwed down with typical company branding noted at the center butnothing extraordinary to discuss. Beneath the case back is a Miyota quartz movement. I’m not quite sure which caliber, but the movement has been as accurate as one would expect from any quartz.

YesMan Watches has most certainly created a unique watch model. As mentioned previously, there are some concerns with the overall functionality of the Black on Black model making it purely more of a fashion watch. Also, while the plating is evenly applied, the finish marks up rather easily, so durability in this area will be a concern over time. The buckle design is unique, but may still require some tweaking to aid in overall comfort. Hopefully, the ratcheting system will weather the test of time, as the design will definitely help maintain the life of the strap. Ultimately, if you are looking for a nicely constructed fashion watch with some unique features that is sure to stir some conversation thenthis model may be a good value at $149 USD. If greater functionality is a primary concern, then the Blue on White model may be the better choice. Both models will definitely catch the eye and provide for some interesting conversations between watch enthusiasts. I would like to thank YesMan Watches for providing this sample for review.
