Triwa was an unfamiliar brand to me prior to getting the chance to review the Nivel. As always, it is great to check out a new brand and be able to report on it. All Triwa Watches are designed in Sweden (not sure if assembeled there, but more on that later) and use Miyota Quartz movements. The Blue Steel Nivel is a newer variation of their Nivel line, and can be bought retail for $350 USD, which includes free FedEx shipping worldwide.

The Nevil arrived in a nice cardboard packaging. The outer sleeve has an artistic graphic on the inside, and the inner box has some splashes of a red paint graphic, giving the packaging a modern or funky feel to it. Inside the box, the watch sits securely with the top portion of the lid housing your warranty and instruction manual.
The 316L stainless steel case measures in at 42mm wide and has a combination of brushed and polished finishes.ย The middle section of the case is all brushed steel, while the top and bottom section is all high polished. The crown and chronograph are high polished as well, giving a nice contrast to the brushed case. The push pull crown functions smoothly as do the chrono pushers. The LTL length is 51mm, which is something I enjoy. Sometimes, smaller diameter watches can have very short lug-to-lug measurement, and this rides very nicely on the wrist. All Triwa models come with a 20mm lug width, and from my research, they do not have a case size above 42mm.
