The dial of the Vintage 42mm is well done in my opinion. Staying consistent with the case, Orefici used stamped steel markers for hour indicators. The hour and minute hands are also constructed from stamped steel, all of which pops well on the matte black dial. The dial sports 3 sub-dials, which include a 24-hour register, seconds counter and the chronograph minute counter, all of which are powered by a quartz Miyota OS20 chrono movement.
The lume of the dial, in my opinion, is okay at best. The hour and minute hands are equipped with a small amount of lume paint. Each hour marker sports a small dot of lume just superior to the marker. While the lume is viewable in the dark, I feel there could have been a little more lume applied, making the dial more visible and versatile in darkness. Topping off the dial is a sapphire crystal with AR coating.
The straps for the Vintage 42mm Chronograph are a brown suede and hand made in Italy. While not a huge fan of suede, these straps bring a nice appeal to the overall presentation of the watch. I really like them. The buckle is constructed from stainless steel and sports the Orefici name. The straps are 22mm in width, so all you strap junkies out there will be able to swap the straps and dress the watch to many different styles as needed.
Overall I am pleased with the Vintage 42mm by Orefici. The dial is well laid out and is consistent with the casing, giving the watch an overall sexy appeal. The Vintage 42mm by Orefici comes with a price tag of $650 USD. While I do believe this may be a bit high in price, these watches are definitely moving and making a name for themselves.
