The Swiss luxury watch label Hublot is no stranger to the world of sports, having already forged relationships with FIFA World Cup soccer, Formula One racing, Ferrari automobiles, the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers. Now Hublot has become the first luxury brand to sign up for a partnership deal with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
At a joint press event on Tuesday, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe and Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones announced a multi-year partnership that will be sealed with the launch of three luxury watch styles inspired by the team’s colors of blue and silver. The custom limited edition timepieces will honor the team’s five Super Bowl wins with a “5” imprinted on the iconic Cowboy star found on the dial and a star set in diamonds for the ladies’ versions.
Dallas Cowboy players and their families were treated to the first look at the new team-themed watches and given the opportunity to pre-order the limited edition numbered pieces which will include a signed mini-helmet and be packaged in a box inspired by the AT&T Stadium. The timepieces are set to hit stores just in time for the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game and the holiday shopping season.
The Hublot Special Edition Dallas Cowboys watches will be sold in three models with versions for both ladies and men. The Classic Fusion Dallas Cowboys watch for men has a 45 mm case of satin-finish polished titanium, crown adorned with the Hublot logo and polished titanium push buttons. The sapphire dial sports a blue lacquered rhodium second hand and is accented by a star appliqué at 5 o’clock. This Cowboys Special Edition model features a sapphire crystal with interior anti-reflective coating and water resistance of 10 ATM or 100 meters. The strap is constructed with black alligator leather stitched over black rubber with a steel deployant buckle.
The Classic Fusion model for ladies shines with a case of polished satin-finish ceramic. The bezel is set with 42 sparkling 1.35 ct diamonds and the sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating on both faces. This sporty Cowboys Special Edition for ladies is water resistant to 10 ATM or 100 meters. The eye-catching dial is highlighted by black star appliqués set with .02 ct diamonds at 5 o’clock, while the strap is similar to the model for guys with black alligator leather over black rubber.
The Hublot King Power Special Edition for men has a micro-blasted black ceramic case and bezel with blue rhodium transfers and a star appliqué accenting the black dial at 5 o’clock. This model is also water-resistant and the strap features black alligator with black rubber and black stitching.
All three styles will be produced in limited editions of 50 individually numbered pieces each. The unique watches will be sold exclusively in the Dallas area at the Hublot boutique and the brand new pop-up store located in the team’s Owner’s Lounge inside AT&T Stadium. In return, Hublot gains naming rights to the VIP parking entrance and the stadium walls will be adorned with Hublot clocks that will also be featured on the HD jumbotrons showing pre-game countdowns.
