Cindy Crawford Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Omega Watches
In an industry that plucks new faces from nowhere and quickly casts them back into anonymity, Cindy Crawford is a timeless classic. That’s why the American supermodel is such a perfect fit as one of Omega’s brand ambassadors.
2015 marks the 20th anniversary of Crawford’s association with the luxury watch brand so how better to celebrate than with a trip to India for the unveiling of Omega’s elegant Constellation “Pluma” Collection?
“Coming to an Omega event like this is always like visiting family or old friends,” the supermodel stated. “I have particularly fond memories of riding elephants in India, and I look forward to reconnecting with this wonderful country.
“It’s also a pleasure to introduce the new Constellation collection which holds a special place in my time with Omega.”
Omega launched the Constellation Collection back in 1982 with the introduction of the Manhattan. The entire collection was redesigned in 2009 and now all models bear the distinctive “claws” and star at the six o’clock mark. There are many Constellation designs to choose from with dials available in silver, champagne, white, black, brown, gold, white and blue mother-of-pearl. All are water-resistant to 100M.
Omega introduced the “Pluma” Collection for women at Baselworld 2014. These timepieces take their name from the Latin word for “feather,” an allusion to the delicate design accentuating the dial. The 27mm cases feature mother-of-pearl dials in white or blue marked by a soft, wavy pattern. The watches of the Constellation “Pluma” collection combine elegant styling with the exclusive state-of-the-industry mechanical Co-Axial calibre 8520 movement.
As for Crawford, since trading modeling for motherhood, the 49-year-old has launched her own lines of beauty products and home décor. Even as she approaches 50, Crawford is still a radiant beauty—and savvy brand ambassador for Omega.
