Breguet 3880BR/Z2/9XV
Abraham Louis Breguet, who incidentally is also the inventor of the most sought after complication – the Tourbillon, founded Breguet.
This superb Breguet 3880BR/Z2/9XV is crafted from 18Kt rose gold, and it features a fluted case band. Rose gold is chosen because it is the hardest alloy of gold due to the copper component. The case diameter is categorized as oversized coming in at 44mm. The bezel rotates in either direction, and it features a 60 minute scale in large black Arabic numerals in intervals of tens. The bezel is ridged for its easy movement even with gloved hands.
The screw locked crown is used to maximize the water resistance of this timepiece, which stands at 10 bars or 100 meters. The chronograph pushers on either side of the main crown are polished and have large surface areas for the quick activation of the chronograph function. The lugs which hold the large square scaled brown alligator strap are rounded adding a softer touch to this rugged and masculine model. The leather strap also features white and red contrast stitching and is secured with an ardillon buckle.
The dial is brown which compliments both the rose gold and the brown alligator leather strap. Smart Arabic numerals rendered in applied rose gold mark the hours while the flange is shared by a minute track, luminous indexes and a world time scale. The hours and minutes hands are also luminous ensuring excellent nighttime readability. 
There is a second time zone indicator at 6 o’clock with a super imposed ring featuring Arabic numerals. The date display is also featured at 6 o’clock, with small seconds at 9 and the chronograph hours scale at 3. The chronograph minutes and seconds are indicated by two central hands. The chronograph seconds is differentiated by its red hue. The chronograph comes equipped with a Flyback function designed to time successive events without the need to stop and reset.
This model is driven by a self-winding mechanical movement which has been individually numbered and signed by Breguet. The movement carries a 40 hour power reserve and a high frequency silicon escapement (10 Hz). The movement Calibre 589F is adjusted for accuracy in 6 positions. This timepiece is new from Breguet.
