Boschett Legacy Watch Review

Boschett Hands on Watch Reviews Independent

The 42mm case is constructed of all 316 stainless steel, with brushed sides, polished upper lugs, crown, and top of the case. Offsetting the dual finished case is the fluted, or coin edge detailing. The crown has this same detailing in a slightly oversized pumpkin shape. The crown is not branded.  The crystal is sapphire, and AR coated on the inside.

Turning around to the back, you have the see through or exhibition case back, and the crystal here is sapphire as well. The outer edge is all high polished steel, and matches the elegance of the rest of the watch.
Unfortunately, this is my one and only nit pick of the Legacy model.  I have no issues with the use of the Miyota 9015 movement; it is accurate, dependable, and smooth. But, it’s not a very attractive movement, at least not stock. I would have liked to have seen either some engraving done to the rotor, or more preferably for me a solid machined case back with some kind of logo and different finishes.

The strap is a nice quality leather with an alligator pattern, and a signed deployant clasp. It also comes with a standard buckle, if you choose to switch it out. Personally on this type of watch, I prefer the dual deployant, as not only is it more elegant, but will save the life of the strap, as it will not create bends or creases.

On the wrist, it’s a perfect fit for ME, for a dress watch. 42mm is really the smallest size I personally like to wear for my 7.5 inch wrist and with it being only 50mm lug to lug and 10mm thick, this should fit under any sport coat or shirt sleeve.

The best part of the Legacy? Its price. $395 for the model reviewed, and for what the watch offers, it is attractive in both design and value. It’s an elegant watch with quality materials and finish, in a modern 42mm size. I don’t really own or wear dress watches, because it is just not my style. But, the Legacy is one that I wouldn’t mine owning and wearing, for when the occasion requires something more formal.

I've been an avid watch lover since the age of 7. Watches are not only my hobby but a passion. My favorite style used to be dive watches, but field or non bezel watches have been growing on me. When I'm not reviewing watches I am either cooking or with family and friends.
