Boschett Harpoon White Dial Watch Review and Video Review

Boschett Hands on Watch Reviews Independent

The lume is everywhere! Well, maybe not exactly, but it’s hard not to notice the lume of the white dial Harpoon. The entire dial has been coated with BGW9 superluminova, and it really lights up like a torch. And because of the black contrasting hands and markers against the white dial, it makes it very easy to see the time in the dark. Before seeing this lume dial Harpoon, I was not the biggest fan of full lume dials, but this model may very well change my opinion.

Overall, Boschett rises to the occasion again. Version 2 is just as great as version 1 was, and adding a second dial option with the full lume dial was the way to go. And of course, not only did he make another dial option, but instead of just doing the same bezels he did for the black dial, he had a white ceramic bezel made as well to match.

I didn’t get into the movement too much in this review, because anyone that has been reading my reviews or following the boutique watches these days is familiar with the Miyota 9015 automatic movement. It is quickly becoming the go-to movement for many boutique watch brands, and has proven to be very accurate, very smooth, and is a hacking and hand winding movement as well.

If you really wanted the Harpoon, version 1, and missed out, do not let the Miyota 9015 stop you. Harpoon V2, as I will now refer to it, is every bit as well built as the first, every bit as rugged, and every bit as imposing in terms of style. Nope, this is not a dress watch. This is not one I would wear to the office. This is your rugged weekend watch, your beach or diving watch, or for many of us, your desk diver.

But whatever your choice of venue is to wear the Boschett Harpoon, not only will it look good, but you know you are wearing a well built dive watch as well.

Would I recommend to a friend: Absolutley.

Would I purchase for myself: Absolutley.

Thank you to Keith of Boschett Timepieces for providing this model for review.

Keep an eye out in the coming weeks, as I will be reviewing 2 other models from Boschett, the Reef Ranger Version 2 and the first dress watch from Boschett, the Legacy.

I've been an avid watch lover since the age of 7. Watches are not only my hobby but a passion. My favorite style used to be dive watches, but field or non bezel watches have been growing on me. When I'm not reviewing watches I am either cooking or with family and friends.
