Marc Jacobs has been simply prodigious over the last 4 years with his collections ranging from clothing, to beauty products, and now even to watches. Marc Jacobs began his career as a designer for Louis Vuitton, and since then, has branched off to create a series of masterpieces in his own style. The Marc by Marc Jacobs watch collection runs the gamut from very simple three hand designs, all the way to chronographs.
The Henry Collection features many different designs, but the MBM3265 stands out due to its clean lines, and sensible construction. The MBM3265 is sculpted from hypoallergenic stainless steel, which makes this watch perfect for daily wear. The stainless steel is also black PVD plated which, in fact, makes the steel stronger and more resistant to scratches. The case back is screwed in, which maintains the 50 meters (5 ATM) of water resistance. As with many fashion watches out there, this Marc Jacobs model is over sized for women, with a case diameter of 40mm. The main crown is ridged, allowing for the easy changing of the time on this model.
All of the elements on this watch are black, with the exception of the first four letters of the โBy Marc Jacobsโ Monogram. These letters feature turquoise, pink, white, and red stones which stand out remarkably well against the all black aesthetic of the watch. The main dial is brushed in a sun rays pattern, and it also features black plated baton hands.
This watch from the Henry Collection is powered by an accurate quartz movement, which is made completely in Japan. The bracelet, which is also made from black PVD plated stainless steel, features a deployant buckle clasp and removable links for the perfect fit. Protecting the dial is a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Henry Collection MBM3265 retails for USD $250.
