Arnold Schwarzenegger Previews Watch Line at Baselworld 2015

Arnold Schwarzenegger has never been hesitant to expand his multifaceted career, whether it’s making the jump from bodybuilder to movie star or running for political office. That’s why it’s hard to be surprised that the former Governor of California was in Basel, Switzerland, on Friday to give the attendees their first look at his Schwarzenegger watch brand.

The collection is a collaboration between the action hero/Governator and the Brazil-based Magnum Group. The Schwarzenegger brand is divided into three collections, each representing a period in the life of their namesake. The Schwarzenegger Legend Collection honors his days in bodybuilding with details such as cases and hands shaped like barbells. The Schwarzenegger Hero Collection recalls some of his most famous film roles while the more sophisticated Schwarzenegger Heritage Collection is more suited to a businessman—or politician.

The watches are set to hit stores this fall and sell for $565 to $2,790. This first look at the line was more of a preview than a full-blown launch, so we can probably expect the latter to happen this summer—about the time the fifth “Terminator” movie comes out. Unlike some celebrities who will put their famous names on anything for a price, Schwarzenegger does know a thing or two about luxury watches since he already has collected 50 of his own.
