Casio G Shock MTG-S 1000
Casio has just released a collection unlike anything they have done before. The MTG-S collection which stands for Metal Twisted G-Shock was launched for the outdoors man with a refined taste who doesn’t want to sacrifice functionality. The MTG-S collection features three premium chronographs each with varying aesthetics. This collection iscompletely manufactured at the Yamagata factory in Japan. The case and all movement parts are made in house.
The original G-Shock was based from a vision to create a watch that never breaks. Casio tested well over 200pieces before finally creating the iconic G-Shock in 1983.
The case of the MTG-S 1000 is crafted from stainless steel. Casio uses a Core Guard Structure of steel resin and their patented Alpha Gel which makes this watch shock resistant. As far as accuracy goes, Casio employs an LED-infused Tough Movement. The watch uses atomic timekeeping, which basically means that the watch receives radio controlled time updates from global transmitting stations. The Triple G system resists shock, sudden gravitational changes, and centrifugal force making this piece quite possibly the most durable luxury watch in existence.
The dial is grey and features four subdials, each activated by a Smart Access main crown. This function is used by simply unlocking the ‘quick-lock’ crown and turning it either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on which function is required. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal which has been glare-proofed on both sides enhancing the legibility of this piece.
The MTG-S watches will be available in three editions. The first, ref # MTGS1000D-1A carries a highly polished stainless steel case with a soft resin under layer, which will retail for $900. The second, ref # MGTS1000BD-1A is sculpted from a trendy black ion plated stainless steel also with a resin under layer. This one will retail for an even $1000. Last but not least, G-Shock celebrates its 30th anniversary with the black ion plated stainless steel and gold accented model ref # MTGS1030BD-1A. This model is made in a limited series and features a red ion plated bracelet. The combination of the black and red speak to the brands colors. This model will retail at exclusive dealers for $1100.
