Thanks for the review of the Marc and Sons Pilot. I went to check out their watches and notices the diver has a Miyota 8215 and the pilot has 9015. Would you know the difference? Do you have a preference of one over the other, which one is better?
The Miyota 8215 is a non hacking movement (when you pull out the crown, the second hand does not stop), which translates into not being able to accurately set the time to the second, which of course means it will not be very accurate from the start. It also tends to have a choppy second hand instead of a smooth sweep. It is a long lasting movement but not the smoothest by far. The Miyota 9015 and other Miyota 9100 series movements are definite upgrades. I believe Marc and Sons do have some divers with the 9015. Glad you enjoyed the review, hope it and this comment helped.
Thank you for this review. I enjoyed it. Yesterday i reciewd my Marc&Sons MSM004… Indeed i am blowing away… its unbelieveble what they make..enamel dial, Miyota 9015, saphiere crystal, and that only in the month MAY 2017 for 199,= euro = 15 euro for shipping to the Netherlands… I am happy with it like a child and now…What do you think.. i am completly.. Stumble and totally surprised with what you say about the MSF005. So you have made me crazy for this watch that I will buy at the end of this month … Why ..? Look at Marc & Sons / Uhrennetz and you want to see only in MAY 2017 from 349 euros for 249 euros .. and that’s really cheap if you look at the price / quality ratio … UNBELIEVEBLE..The only thing I can do is to Convince my wife .. Thank you for convincing me … gr. Jan Christiaan. (the Netherlands)
