– A Micro-Rotor is essentially a small rotor that is used for the same purposes as a full sized oscillating rotor – to wind the mainspring. Micro-Rotors are usually used in ultra-thin self-winding watches to conserve space. Micro-Rotors are also seen with some frequency in German watchmaking.
