Those regular Versace V-Signature watches just aren’t flashy enough for some bold fashionistas, so these bejeweled numbers should be exactly what style-savvy ladies will be thrilled to find in their stockings come Christmas morning. The holiday-themed watches will be available in two styles: the “all black” version which will have a run of 30 pieces and the “all red” model which will be even rarer with just 20 pieces.
Each will be adorned with 212 glittering diamonds for a total of over one and a half carats. 100 of those sparklers decorate Versace’s signature Greek key lugs, with eight more marking the indices and 104 forming a full pave´ pattern at the center of the dial. If you can tear your eyes away from all that ice, you’ll notice the 35mm IP rose gold case with a cuff style strap of elaphe snakeskin held by a butterfly buckle.
Both the black and red editions have color-coordinated straps that can be worn either with the cuff for a sporty look or without it for a dressier style. The IP rose gold bezel is emblazoned with Versace’s Greek key logo as well as the Versace Medusa at 12 o’clock and another logo at the center of the diamond pave´ dial. The Versace V-Signature Holiday Edition watch is powered by a precision Swiss-made Ronda 762.3 quartz movement and is water resistant to 165 feet.
The price of those 50 Versace V-Signature Holiday Edition watches has not yet been announced, but with 212 diamonds, you can be sure that if you have to ask, you can’t afford it. A more austere V-Signature model minus the carat-and-a-half of diamonds goes for $1,595, so the blinged out limited edition is certain to come with a much fancier price tag.
The Versace V-Signature Holiday Edition watch will be sold at authorized Versace retailers, but presumably not very many of them since there are only 50 pieces being made.
