Vacheron Constantin Presents Heures Créatives Heure Romantique Line
While some women prefer the unisex style of watch that’s all business, others fall for the unabashedly romantic and feminine designs of past centuries. The latest collection by Vacheron Constantin is made for those ladies, provided they also believe that diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
The Swiss watchmaker presented the Heures Créatives Heure Romantique collection at the Watches & Wonders 2015 trade show and this line harkens back to the luxurious Belle Epoque period of the early 20th century. The Vacheron Constantin site calls this a time when “The refined and inventive women of this era immersed themselves in romanticism.”
The Heures Créatives Heure Romantique watches have a uniquely shaped case that recalls a clover leaf rendered in 18k white gold, hand decorated and set with diamonds. The elegance of the unusual case shape prevents it from being lost among the glitter of all those dazzling stones. The overall look of the Heures Créatives Heure Romantique line was obviously influenced by the style of women’s watches made in the 1920s.
Back then, Vacheron Constantin designed watches only for the very rich, some of whom commissioned one-of-a-kind timepieces. According to the Vacheron Constantin website, “Heures Créatives collection [is] dedicated to women and inspired by three iconic historical timepieces.”
All three models in the collection are powered by a Caliber 1055 manual movement with a power reserve of 40 hours. The most basic of the three sports a mother-of-pearl dial surrounded by 104 round-cut diamonds with a total carat weight of 2.5 carats. Four diamond set lugs attach the case to a black strap with 18k white gold deployant buckle. The other two styles are even more luxurious since they are totally covered with either round-cut or baguette-cut diamonds from the dial to the bracelet.
The Vacheron Constantin Heures Créatives Heure Romantique collection is luxurious, decadent and absolutely gorgeous.
