Show Off Your Watch Collection with OnTime App

Even if you’re a purist who has no plans to buy an Apple Watch or any other wearable device in the near future, you may be using an iPhone or iPad so you might want to download this new iOS app for collectors of luxury timepieces.

OnTime is a free app that allows watch aficionados to share their collections with other fanciers of fine timepieces as well as buy or sell, right from their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. After registration, users can create a personal “watch box” showing off their own favorite pieces.

This app is the creation of Govberg Jewelers, which made this statement: “‘My Watch Box’ is your virtual watch winder. For each watch, you can add multiple images, watch features, and store important documents like warranty cards, appraisals, service, records, etc. With Govberg OnTime your collection is always a tap away, making it easy to share your watch collection with friends or have access to it whenever you need it.”

The OnTime application also has “Sell” and “Shop” functions that allow owners to add to their collections or make a little fast cash moving a spare watch or two. Sellers can get free quotes right on their devices while buyers can view all timepieces for sale at Govberg Jewelers.

Although the on OnTime app sounds like fun for watch collectors (or wannabe collectors), do you really want every potential jewel thief to be able to “shop” your “Watch Box”? Sure, having bragging rights can be an ego boost but this app better have some major security built in to protect the safety of users.

Of course, you can still use the app to shop for new pieces or talk to other collectors without revealing exactly what’s in your personal collection to the immediate world.
