The Runwell 47mm is constructed of, you guessed it, a 47mm rounded stainless steel case, 50mm case-crown width, double curved sapphire crystal, and comes with a 5ATM water resistance rating. The case back of The Runwell 47mm displays Shinolas signature iconic case back plate with a laser-etched serial number. The LTL (Lug to Lug) measurement is 51mm and comes with a total lug width of 30mm.
The case sits at a height of 13mm with the strap. The screw down crown measures in at a 3mm extension from the case, and measures roughly 8mm wide. The crown displays the Shinola lighting bolt (used to signify the beauty of industry, the respect for craft, and a commitment to quality) and is dressed with a coin-edge. With the case being rounded and smooth, the coined-edge brings a nice contrast to the watch.
Powering The Runwell 47mm is the Detroit-built Argonite 1069 high-accuracy quartz movement, a 46-piece quartz movement made with Swiss parts. Ronda AG produces all of the components used for this movement in Switzerland, which are then assembled by hand in Detroit by Shinolas assembly line, who were hand trained by Ronda AG staff. The movement goes through Shinolas step-by-step in house testing prior to being attached to the dial.
The dial of The Runwell 47mm model is constructed of large Arabic numerals, making it very easy to read the time. The hour and minute hands are constructed from stainless steel, thin in shape, sword hands that are equipped with Super LumiNova paint. The thinness of the hour and minute hands complement the bold Arabic numerals, making this shape a well selected choice by Shinola as anything larger would have defiantly made the dial feel clustered.
Under the 12 o’clock marker you will find the Shinola signature lightening bolt, with “Shinola”,“Argonite-1069” and “Detroit” printed directly below. The second hand is positioned above the 6 o’clock marker. It appears as if the second hand dial is recessed within the main dial, brining the second hand evenly flush with the main dial. The main portion of second hand fully extends to the outer rim of the dial, while the smaller end, usually not used for any reference, has an orange spade shaped tip that correlates to the 60 thru 15 second orange markers. I find this to be a nice added touch by Shinola, again paying great attention to the details.

The Shinola is obviously a quality timepiece;
however, the Shinola website could describe the watch better.
It is difficult to determine which watches that have illuminated numerals in the dark.
The Chinola, that I acquired, has illuminated hour markers, but the numerals are not lit during darkness.
Nevertheless, I am very pleased with my purchase.
However, I do wish the description, of the watch models, was more complete.
