Reactor is a brand that, if you are not familiar with, is known for its hard use or rugged watches. Their tag line is “The Best Built Performance Sport Watch….Period”. The owner, Jimmy Olmes, actually started out as a partner for Freestyle Watches, and then finally decided to make his dream come true with starting Reactor Watches in 2002.

The Reactor Fallout 2 arrives in what is standard packaging for Reactor, but definitely unique to the watch world. It’s a canister that unlocks from the base and the watch sits on a display stand inside.  After removing the watch from the canister, which is foam lined, the canister now becomes a beer or soda coozie! Talk about some cleaver marketing on behalf of Reactor. Located on the bottom of the canister is a Reactor magnet that when removed houses your warranty card, instructions, and extra bracelet links.

The Fallout 2 actually arrived to me sized at a perfect length for my 7.5-inch wrist. I only had to move one of the micro adjusting spring pins in the clasp over, for the perfect fit. Extra links are available from Reactor as well, if you have a large wrist.

I've been an avid watch lover since the age of 7. Watches are not only my hobby but a passion. My favorite style used to be dive watches, but field or non bezel watches have been growing on me. When I'm not reviewing watches I am either cooking or with family and friends.
