Minuteman MM01 Polished Watch Review

Hands on Watch Reviews Independent Military Minuteman Watch Co.

Speaking of the case back, Minuteman did a wonderful job with the engraving of their logo and stars. While of course, this is the part that sits on our wrist, it is always nice to check a watch out, flip it over and see they went the extra mile for something that usually only the wearer sees when taking it on and off.

Minuteman chose to use a Swiss Made ETA quartz movement, because one of their goals is to build a quality, affordable timepiece using the best components they can source. Yes, the case is manufactured in China, but it uses the Swiss movement and is all hand assembled in the United States. This is important to them of course, and one day they hope to be able to manufacture all their watches here in the US. Of course, that is a lofty goal, but something they would love to do.

Working within the theme of U.S. goods, Minuteman has their calf leather straps made for them by Daluca Straps, as they hail from California. The strap is lightly padded, and is very comfortable against the skin. My only tiny little gripe would be that the buckle is not signed and that it is brushed steel, instead of polished, which would match the case.

At the end of the day, what you get with a Minuteman Watch is a quality affordable field watch, using a Swiss Quartz movement, a high quality strap, and from a company that is also trying to give back to the U.S and its veterans. I never want my reviews to come off as an advertisement, but I think knowing that you are not just buying a quality watch but also helping to put clothes and food on the table and medical care for veterans that fought for us, is a huge selling point. You are not just buying a watch, but helping out men and women and their families who sacrificed for our country.

Thank you to Minuteman for providing the MM01 for review, and you can see all of their offerings HERE.

I've been an avid watch lover since the age of 7. Watches are not only my hobby but a passion. My favorite style used to be dive watches, but field or non bezel watches have been growing on me. When I'm not reviewing watches I am either cooking or with family and friends.
