Linde Werdelin is a Swiss watchmaking company, which specializes in making limited edition timepieces. The company was founded in 2002, by Morten Linde and Jorn Werdelin. Though the designers are Danish, Linde Werdelin watches have a high end Swiss sports watch aesthetic. These high end sports watches can be combined with a digital instrument, also from Linde Werdelin, to provide essential data for skiing and diving. The brand works with professional mountaineers and divers to test their instruments. Already the brand was involved in the first ever confirmed free clime of Mount Everest in 2007.

The Oktopus Moon Tattoo Watch from Linde Werdelin is crafted from solid 18kt rose gold, which carries engraving that has been completed on different levels, creating a 3D effect. The engraving is completely hand drawn, and can be said to have been tattooed on the watch. In keeping with the tattoo theme, Linde Werdelin also includes hand drawn moon phases on its dial and intricately engraved hand drawn octopus in the center of the dial. The Oktopus Moon Tattoo is limited to 59 pieces, and it retails for CHF$42,500.
The case is constructed from 19 parts, with a screwed in case back, which features another engraved octopus drawing, and a screw in crown, which carries an engraved octopus symbol. This unique timepiece is 44mm in diameter, and 15mm for the case height. The bezel is brushed black PVD steel, which houses an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, chosen for its scratch resistant properties.

The dial is skeletonized, which reveals the in-house moon phase complication, and the balance wheel which beats at 28,800 VpH. This movement carries a 42 hour power reserve when fully wound. The dial features Arabic numerals, at the 12, 3, and 9 positions in applied 18kt rose gold, and rose gold hands with luminescence.
This timepiece is fitted with a high end rubber strap in black, but can be changed to any other Linde Werdelin strap choices, using their proprietary strap system. The Oktopus Moon Tattoo from Linde Werdelin is water resistant to 300 meters, making this watch suitable for any and all activities.
