Jaeger LeCoultre’s most prolific creation is arguably the Reverso. This model was originally made with the polo player in mind as one of their chief complaints was the damage incurred to their watches while playing this illustrious sport. Jaeger LeCoultre created a solution and the Reverso was born. The Reverso’s claim to fame is its ability to flip over and be held securely displaying only the case back. Due to the original Reverso’s overwhelming success, Jaeger LeCoultre decided to offer this collection in a ladies’ edition. Little did the brand know that it would be the lady’s version of the Reverso that would prove to be the brands most successful seller. The Lady’s Reverso ref # 2608410 comes in polished stainless steel with case dimensions of 33.2mm X 19.5mm. The watch can be considered to be an ultra-thin model, owing to a case thickness of just 7.2mm. The case design is Art Deco in nature, and features striations at the top and bottom of the bezel. The ridged main crown is quite conservative, blending well to this model.
This chic timepiece carries an in-house Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 846/1, which is manual wound. When fully wound, this watch has a power reserve of 40 hours. One of the more interesting things about this movement, is the fact that, it is only comprised of 93 components, this is quite few in number, but it does allow for the thinness of the watch. The balance wheel beats at 21,600 VpH.
The dial is white and features transferred black Arabic numerals, and blued steel sword shaped hour and minute hands. The minute track is of the railroad variety, and is displayed in blue on the 2608410. The strap is a light brown alligator, which is hand sewn and fitted with a double folding clasp, also made from stainless steel. The Reverso Lady in stainless steel is water resistant to 30 meters (3 Bars). Jaeger LeCoultre offers a 2 year International guarantee, which protects this watch against manufacturer defects.
