Huawei Watch Gets Classy Packaging
When the Huawei Watch was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress back in February, the Android Wear smartwatch impressed the crowd with its classy looks. Unlike many of the geeky square-faced wearables from other tech companies, the Huawei Watch has a round face and understated dial for a more sophisticated look.
Although Huawei has not yet revealed the price of this smartwatch, these kinds of looks donโt come cheap and now a clue has been leaked as to how the device will be marketed. The Italian website HDblog has leaked an image of the watchโs packaging and itโs certainly different from the usual ordinary cardboard box that houses most tech devices. The image reveals an expensive-looking leather box embellished with gold trim. This impressive presentation coupled with the stylish look of the Huiwei Watch suggests that the price will be on the high end, comparable to that of the Apple Watch and the competing Android model from Motorola.
Premium packaging isnโt all the Huawei watch has to offer since itโs crafted with a sapphire crystal and 42mm stainless steel case for a classic look. The device is customizable with a 1.4โ circular AMOLED display, over 40 faces, a choice of gold, silver or black cases and straps of leather or stainless steel.
Of course there are the usual smartwatch features like call notifications, instant messages and activity tracking. The Huawei Watch is powered by a Qualcomm APQ8026 1.2GHz CPU and has 512MB RAM + 4GB ROM.
Originally set for release earlier this year, the Huawei Watch was delayed until September or October but should still be out in time for the lucrative holiday season. This device looks like the perfect compromise for the user who wants the features of a smartwatch without the look of one. Provided of course, that the customer is a fan of Android rather than Apple.

I see security is real tight around that watch, it looks like it was taken from some distance. :)
