As mentioned earlier, the 20mm lug width comes with a well-made 20mm leather strap that tapers to 18mm at the signed high polished buckle. This particular model comes with a blue crocodile embossed strap. The blue strap is a great coordinating feature with the blue Chrono sweep and hour accumulator hands on the dial. The strap is padded from the lug end to about the mid-point, which does provide for a more substantial looking strap and with the soft almost Nubuck leather backing can be quite comfortable on the right wrist. The strap measures only around 115/75mm in overall length with a thickness measuring approximately 6mm closer to the lug, tapering to around 3.5mm near the tail. Due to the strap measurements, anyone with a wrist larger than 7.5 – 7.75 inches might need to source an aftermarket strap to wear the watch comfortably as the standard strap may not be a viable option. Probably the best feature of the strap is the fact that it employs the quick-change pin system, which will cut down on lug scratching when swapping out straps.
I believe the Fromanteel Globetrotter Chrono Cream Marine Blue is a superb dress watch option for the boardroom or a night out on the town. Due to the size the watch, it will rest comfortably under the cuff of a dress shirt and suit for an enjoyable wearing experience. This model comes packed with quality features, such as the quality Swiss Ronda movement, sapphire crystal and detailed dial applications; not to mention that it is a “Swiss Made” timepiece. Additionally, I am aware that other strap options are available direct from Fromanteel. So picking up some other colors and styles can completely change the nature of this model, possibly making the watch a great option for even more social settings. The only upgrade I would suggest is for the company to provide straps that are longer and do not taper for a more comfortable fit on larger wrists. I highly recommend checking out the offerings from Fromanteel.
I would like to thank Fromanteel for providing the Globetrotter for review. Thanks to each of you for reading and please take a moment to view the brief video presentation on this model and be sure to subscribe to the WatchReport.com YouTube channel.
