Chivas Regal and Bremont Partner for “Chivalry” Watch

by WatchReport

British watchmaker Bremont is known for luxury timepieces and Chivas Regal is famous for fine Scotch whiskey, so it seems natural for the two to join forces to create  a pair of decadently delightful holiday gifts for the discriminating man.

Bremont Chivalry

The first product of the pair’s “Made for Gentleman” collaboration is a gift tin housing a limited edition bottle decorated with deconstructed watch elements that show off the intricate engineering of Bremont timepieces. Inside the bottle is the smooth, satisfying taste of Chivas Regal Scotch whisky. This handsome tin can stylishly adorn your office or bar even after all of the whisky is gone.

As tempting as that tin of fine whisky sounds, the second piece of the “Made for Gentlemen” partnership is even more desirable. Inspired by a visit to the Chivas Strathisla distillery, the brothers behind Bremont watches created a unique timepiece that reflects the elegance and quality of the ultimate Scotch whisky. Nick and Giles English designed the Bremont “Chivalry” watch, a limited edition mechanical timepiece that is sure to be one of the more coveted gifts of this holiday season. Just 12 pieces of the “Chivalry” watch have been made, making each a rare treasure.

The “Chivalry” timepiece is a timeless classic of polished steel with the Chivas luckenbooth subtly engraved on the dial and the signature of founders James and John Chivas etched on the rotor. The 43mm case has Bremont Trip-Tick construction with a DLC treated case barrel. The back of the watch contains a genuine piece of the oak casks used in maturing Chivas Regal whiskies while an engraved copper plate taken from a Scotch whisky still decorates the leather presentation pouch.

The “Chivalry” watch sports a metal dial embossed and painted with a Chivas signifier as well as a domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal and embossed alligator band. The case is water resistant to 100 meters or 10ATM and engraved with its Bremont serial number. C.O.S.C. certification is included with each timepiece. The movement sports a modified caliber 13 ¼” BE-36AE automatic chronometer, Glucydur balance, Anachron balance spring, Nivaflex I mainspring, 25 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve.

More of the Bremont “Chivalry” watches will be auctioned off to benefit other charities around the world. The “Made for Gentlemen” set of watch and custom tin of Chivas Regal will be also be available at select luxury retailers for the 2014 holiday season.
