Here is an announcement we can really get excited about. Canada’s Momentum Watches has announced a very cool looking titanium aviator that features both GMT and alarm complications. This new model is called the Vortech GMT and, given its feature set, should make for a very practical and easy-to-wear watch. This new model will be available soon and sports a 44mm titanium case with a lug to lug distance of 53mm and is powered by a Swiss ISA8176/1990 quartz movement.
We love the Vortech GMT’s simple aviator style, the subdued case design, and the additional contrast provided by the red and yellow hands for the Alarm and GMT settings, respectively. Momentum is claiming the alarm is quite loud and that pricing will start at a very reasonable $285 with a yet-to-be-priced option for a sapphire crystal (the base model uses mineral glass). Even among other quartz competition, that is a strong feature set, clean styling and a wearable size, all for under $300! We are going to do the right thing and kindly beg to get one in for review, because after all, if you’re going to go quartz, it should have an alarm (and a GMT).

Canadian brand Momentum has officially announced their new 300m dive watch, the Innerspace. Already known to many of you who frequent the big watch forums, the Innerspace is a compressor-style diver boasting an ETA 2836-2 automatic movement, a display case-back, and an internal bi-directional rotating bezel, all housed in a 44mm stainless steel case. The Innerspace uses a black dial with bright orange markings (we love the orange 15 minute scale) and white indices. Case thickness is slated at 14mm and buyers will be able to choose from a 22mm bracelet or a rubber strap. Pricing is slated for $895 – $995 which seems a little high given its similarity to the Halios Laguna which retails for less and boasts 500m WR. Click through for additional photos and let us know in the comments if you would like to see a full review of the Momentum Innerspace.

Vancouver based Momentum Watches has announced today their new follow up to the Format 2 analog/digital sport watch. The new model, dubbed the Format 4, is larger in size and features a more prominant set of digital screens than the outgoing model (see included comparison). The dual screens are backlit and enable functions like day/date, five distinct alarms, a chronograph, a countdown timer and a world time feature. The closed lug case design and ultra legible dial and hands look like a winning combination and Momentum has made this new model more versatile with larger buttons and 100m water resistance. The Format 4 is slated for release later this month and will cost $285 on a rubber strap or $295 the leather strap seen in the photo. We love a good multifunction watch so soon as the Format 4 is available we will start working on a review.
